Hello folks! A new week is starting and I am so excited! The winter holiday is over (in Norway there is a 1-week “winter holiday” around this time), and I am looking forward to resuming my Norwegian lessons and going back to the routine.

Hei folkens! Ei ny uke starter og jeg er spent! Nå er vinterferien ferdig, og jeg ser frem til å fortsette med norskkurset og å ha vanlige dager igjen. Forresten, liker dere at jeg skriver på norsk? Jeg må øve meg for å bli bedre, ikke sant?

Homemade smoothies for sugar-free days

Last week I realized that I have a little sugar problem. The truth is I have been romanticizing it by saying I “have a sweet tooth”, but it really is more than that. It’s bad that every day I need to eat something sweet, and even worse that I can hardly keep myself from eating a whole chocolate bar. One of the ways to satisfy my cravings is to bring a homemade smoothie with me when I go to the city: that way I won’t buy any sugary drinks or snacks! How cute is this little glass bottle that I bought last Saturday? Perfect for an on-the-go smoothie!

I forrige uke innså jeg at jeg har et lite sukkerproblem. Jeg trodde det var bare at jeg “hadde en søt tann” men nå tror jeg det er mer enn det. Det er ikke bra at jeg trenger å spise noe søtt hver eneste dag, og det er enda verre at jeg ikke klarer å slutte å spise sjokolade. En måte å slutte med sukker er å lage smoothies “to-go”. Dermed unngår jeg å kjøpe søtsaker og drikker med sukker. Denne glassflaska kjøpte jeg på lørdag hos Nille. Nå kan jeg ta med smoothiene mine i farten!

 
PURPLE SMOOTHIE 🍹
(4 glasses)
 
Mix in a blender / Bland med en stavmikser
 
3 tbsp yoghurt / 3 ss yogurt
1 1/2 cups milk / 1 1/2 kopp melk
1 cup frozen strawberries / 1 kopp frosne jordbær
1 cup frozen frozen blueberries / 1 kopp frosne blåbær

New hobbies on a new week

I have gotten my hands on some Norwegian wool and some knitting needles and I plan to learn how to knit something “easy” like a beanie. Thick wool is my favorite and this light grey color is beautiful! I am excited to see if this is something that can help me improve my concentration… while I make cute garments for me and my friends! And you, do you knit? Do you have any other “relaxed” hobbies? Or is there something new you want to try this week? Have a nice Monday guys!

Jeg har skaffet meg en norsk ull ball fra Mor Aase og mine første pinner! Jeg vil lære hvordan å strikke noe lett, som ei lue. Tykk ull er min favoritt og denne lyse grå fargen er utrolig fin! Kanskje blir det en hobby som kan bedre konsentrasjonen min mens jeg lager fine klær til meg og mine venner! Og du, strikker du? Eller har du andre rolige hobbier? Ha en fin mandag!

    I love knitting in winter evenings while watching tv. It’s such a relaxing activity and it does improve both focused and distributive attention. I am thinking to knit while learning a new language, see if it works.
    Your smoothie looks so refreshing, thank you for the recipe, I was wandering what’s in there when first saw the picture. 🙂

    Good luck with the knitting. I am always amazed by others handiwork here. I have tried and I just can’t. Aside from that, that’s awesome you found something to help your craving for sweets. Fruit is always helpful in that regard.

    I love having a smoothie to satisfy my sweet tooth. Mango is my favorite 🙂 They’re a great way to make it feel like you are indulging!

    I love homemade smoothies so nice and that one looks lovely, I also want to get into knitting, I know how to crochet somewhat but would love to be able to knit 🙂

    I used to knit a lot few years ago but I sometimes got too frustrated with it, haha. Also, that smoothie sounds delicious! I will need to try this one.
